Don Omar
From time to time I remember an artist who I was totally into but never blew up the way I thought they should have. Omar is one of those artists. In the ’90s he was making such good soulful jazzy r&b, just before Les Nubians broke here in the states and just around the same time that Jamiroquai’s popularity started to rise. He’s older now and that time has passed for that sound but at the time he was special. Or so I thought. His voice is just so… Here, listen for yourself at some of my favorite Omar tunes.
